Media personality Roby Ekpo has spoken about the end of his 11-year marriage, sharing details of what he says led to the breakdown of the relationship.
Ekpo said he became aware that the marriage had fully broken down after seeing posts on Instagram showing his estranged wife with another partner.
“After 11 years in marriage, I woke up to videos and pictures of my wife on Instagram getting married to another man.”
He said the development came after what he described as years of emotional strain in the marriage.
Ekpo also responded to comments attributed to his ex-wife about her experience in the relationship, including dissatisfaction and emotional distance, which he said were not fully shared with him during the marriage.
“I don’t even care if he loves me or not because wetin love do for me beside stress me, he isn’t taking care of me as a man should. He isn’t satisfying me sexually, he isn’t spoiling me, he isn’t anything good, I am just very irritated by him. I have been coping with unsatisfying s*x for years.”
He further disclosed that he once went for medical tests after concerns about infertility, saying he initially believed he might have been responsible for the couple not having children.
“I am 48 years old, I don’t have a kid, I started going for tests because I thought I was the problem, I thought I had fertility issues. I later found out that she was taking contraceptives.”
Ekpo said he later understood certain actions during the marriage that, in his view, affected trust between both parties.
The marriage, which lasted over a decade, has now ended.
