Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, has buried his wife following her death after battling cancer.
Mr Fayose shared videos from the burial on Instagram on Thursday.
One of the videos showed a white coffin with a white lily flower placed on it. In the background, Fayose was heard repeatedly saying, “Goodnight my dear wife. Goodnight.”
In another part of the video, he appeared with his son and said, “Daniel! It’s just the two of us left now. Goodnight my wife.”
Showing the coffin again, he added, “Goodnight, till we see again,” before kissing the coffin.
He captioned the post, “Goodnight, my dear wife.”
Another video showed his son and some mourners carrying the coffin from the morgue to a vehicle before proceeding to the graveside.
In the caption, Fayose wrote, “Goodnight my Oyinbo. I know you’re in Heaven now smiling down on us.”
Isaac Fayose had announced his wife’s death in an Instagram post earlier this month.
Sharing a candlelight image at the time, he wrote, “Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”
Months earlier, he had disclosed that she was battling cancer.
In March, Fayose shared videos after visiting his family in Australia, saying his wife was in a weak condition when he arrived.
“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak. The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber,” he said.
He also spoke about caring for her and spending time with their son during the period.
The businessman had said in one of the videos that his wealth could not change the situation his family was facing.
“Our one-million-dollar house couldn’t save my wife. My wealth couldn’t save my wife,” he said.
