Isaac Fayose loses wife to cancer

Isaac Fayose

Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, has announced the death of his wife.

Mr Fayose disclosed this in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Sharing a candlelight image, he wrote, “Rest In Peace, My darling wife.”

In another post containing photos of his wife, he added, “Odaro oyinbo mi.”

The announcement comes months after Fayose revealed that his wife was battling cancer.

In March, he shared a video on Instagram after visiting his family in Australia, saying she was in a weak condition when he arrived.

“My wife is not feeling well. When I got here, she was very weak. The same woman who usually picks me up at the airport couldn’t come, so I had to take an Uber,” he said.

“She used to cook for me, but now I find myself cooking for her. She couldn’t cook or talk. I sat beside her and sang her favourite song; she held my hand as I sang.”

He also shared videos of himself spending time with their son, saying he might have to play the role of both father and mother.

The businessman had earlier said money could not change the situation his family was facing.

“Our one-million-dollar house couldn’t save my wife. My wealth couldn’t save my wife,” Isaac Fayose said in one of the videos posted in March.

The announcement of her death drew condolence messages from followers and public figures, including Yvonne Jegede, Ali Baba and Daddy Showkey.
