Governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde has been appointed chairman of the Peopled Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.
In a statement on Tuesday, the forum congratulated Governor Makinde on his appointment and said it reflects his role within the party.
The forum said his leadership has become more visible in recent years as the country faces economic and security challenges.
It noted his position on accountability, justice and democratic governance.
The forum added that his record in office and involvement in national issues place him in a position to lead the group.
It expressed confidence that the forum will see better coordination under his leadership.
The PDP Governors’ Forum brings together governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
