Lead pastor of Light Nation Church Femi Lazarus has announced his relocation from Nigeria to Kenya, saying the move followed a directive from God.
Pastor Lazarus made this known on Tuesday during a church service in Kenya, where he spoke alongside his wife and some members of his ministry team.
He said the decision marked a new phase in his life and ministry, adding that the mission in Kenya goes beyond preaching.
“I came this morning with my wife, and some of our pastors are with us also. We shared with the reverend the new instruction God gave to us,” he said.
He added that the visit was not only to preach but also to receive. “There is nothing new or special that we have brought, and that is why we have come here to receive also,” he said.
Lazarus also said he chose to visit the church as part of his first activities in the country.
The pastor of The Purpose Centre Church Julian Kyula confirmed the development while welcoming Lazarus and his wife.
Pastor Kyula said the decision for Lazarus to be based in Kenya came at this time and described it as part of a wider development involving ministry activities in the country.
He told the congregation that the presence of visiting ministers choosing Kenya as a base reflects a period of increased activity within the religious space.
Femi Lazarus did not state how long he plans to stay in Kenya but said the move forms part of his current assignment.
