Oyo State Police Command has reportedly recovered arms and ammunition from the residence of the head of the dissolved disciplinary committee of the Park Management System (PMS) Mukaila Lamidi aka Auxiliary.

Governor Seyi Makinde ordered the dissolution of the committee in a statement on Monday shortly after his inauguration for a second term.

A member of the state executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State Akin Akinwale tweeted that Auxiliary escaped when the police allegedly stormed his house but some of his men were arrested.

Makinde had said in a statement by his chief of staff Segun Ogunwuyi that the dissolution of the committee was with immediate effect.

“I have the directive of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to inform you of the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System with immediate effect from today, Monday, 29th May 2023,” he said.

The state government announced the appointment of Auxiliary as chairman of the PMS disciplinary committee in February 2020.
