Makinde visits Ogbomoso over attack at Soun’s palace

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Tuesday visited Ogbomoso to meet with the Soun of Ogbomoso Oba Oladunni Oyewumi over Sunday attack at his palace.

Mr Makinde also paid a condolence visit to some persons who were injured during the #EndSARS protest in the town on Saturday.

The Soun and his chiefs were having a meeting with the minister of youth and sports development Sunday Dare when hoodlums attacked the palace.

There was no human casualty. However, some palace items were destroyed.

Mr Dare thanked the governor for his visit in a tweet.

“I want to thank Governor Makinde for his visit to Ogbomoso today to meet with our revered Monarch, Kabiyesi, the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi-Ajagungbade over the recent attack on the palace and his condolence visit to other victims. Peace and Security is a joint effort,” he wrote.
