Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has stated that if he were on the jury of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), he would have picked the rapper, Reminisce, as Best Supporting Actor for his role as Makanaki in the movie, King of Boys.

The 58-year-old revealed this on Instagram on Saturday when he posted a screenshot of the rapper from the movie.

“If I was on the AMVCA jury for Best Supporting Actor, @iamreminisce in King of Boys would have been my pick…. alas, it’s not up to a jury! Welcome to Nollywood! Welcome to the AMVCAs!” he wrote.

The 36-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remilekun Abdulkalid, responded to RMD’s comment on his own page.

He wrote: “Thanks a lot for considering me worthy sir @mofedamijo. To get such a mention from someone of your calibre is all the victory I need tonight. To all the fans who voted, all my fans and to the #amvca2020 team for nominating me, Thank You!!”

Reminisce was nominated as Best Supporting Actor in a Movie or TV Show at the 2020 AMVCAs for his debut acting role.

The award was won by Kenyan actor, Pascal Tokodi, for his role in the movie Disconnect.
