Nigerians on social media have reacted to revelation by Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy that he got married 18 years ago but got divorced two years later.

The 38-year-old said in an Instagram post on Saturday that he got married at 20 and was divorced at 22 to UK-based model and writer Michelle Jackson.

Don Jazzy’s revelation about his marriage came days after a tell-all interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu in the BlackBox series.

Among the things Don Jazzy spoke about in the interview were his new house, rumours that he was broke, growing up in Ajegunle and discovering music in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.

He also spoke about founding Mo’Hits with his friend and former partner D’banj Mo’ Hits and the G.O.O.D Music deal which ultimately led to the two breaking up as business partners.

Nigerian Twitter users have praised Don Jazzy for opening up about his past, with some praising D’banj and Wande Coal for not revealing the “secret” before and after the crisis that led to Mo’Hits breaking up in 2012.
