Music executive and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has spoken about his personal life, saying he does not experience loneliness and is comfortable being on his own.
Speaking in an interview with Jima Emmanuel, the producer reflected on how he relates with people and how he spends time alone.
“I have never felt lonely before. I can talk to myself, I can be by myself. As long as I have my phone, internet, TV and food, I can stay in my room and not come out,” he said.
Don Jazzy also shared his view on relationships, saying he believes people should be useful to one another and that connections should have value for both sides.
“If they cannot use you, then you are useless. Why are we here in this world? It is to be useful to people, and vice versa,” he said.
He added that over time, people are able to identify those who remain consistent through different phases of life.
“With time, you get to know the people who can stick with you through thick and thin,” he said.
The music executive, whose real name is Michael Ajereh, is one of Nigeria’s most prominent music producers. He co-founded Mo Hits Records with singer Dbanj before they parted ways.
In 2012, he launched Mavin Records, which has grown into one of Africa’s leading music labels, with artistes such as Rema and Ayra Starr gaining global recognition under the imprint.
