Streamer and comedian Carter Efe has accused music star D’banj and media personality Sunday Are of deceiving him over a car gift that was publicly announced.
In a video shared online, Carter Efe claimed the car was never fully handed over to him and that he was later asked to pay N65 million before he could take possession of it.
He said he was surprised by the situation, adding that he never asked anyone to buy him a car and insisted the gift was not what it was presented to be.
Describing the alleged situation, he used the word “audio” to suggest that the promise of a car existed only in words.
He said, “They didn’t give me any car. Sunday Are too was doing as if he was advising me whereas he was just cajoling me not to spoil their plan. They gave me a useless car. I didn’t beg you to give me car.
“D-banj whine me. He didn’t give me motor. That motor he gave me is audio motor. He told me to pay 65 million naira before he could give me the car. Me that E-money gift me money for free. If I swear for D-banj and Sunday Are, they might not see tomorrow.”
As of the time of filing this report, neither D’banj nor Sunday Are has publicly responded to the allegations.
Earlier reports at the time of the public event said D’banj presented Carter Efe with a car during a livestreamed surprise appearance organised with media personality Sunday Are, a moment that was widely shared online and drew attention from fans.
