Singer Portable has challenged heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua to a boxing match, saying he is ready to face him if a N1 billion prize is attached to the fight.
Portable made the statement on Thursday during a public face-off ahead of his exhibition boxing match against streamer Carter Efe.
During the event, the singer described himself as the face of Nigerian boxing and said no one could take the belt from him.
“For N1 billion, I will beat Anthony Joshua,” he said.
Portable and Carter Efe are scheduled to fight on Friday at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In February, Portable said he was paid N40 million to accept the fight with Carter Efe. He also claimed businessman E-Money and music promoter Soso Soberekon promised him N50 million each and a car if he wins.
Carter Efe said he accepted the fight after being told the winner would receive N50 million.
Portable has taken part in celebrity boxing matches in recent years.
In April 2025, he defeated Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing bout. He also recorded victories over actor Charles Okocha in December 2023 and Kelvin Power, bodyguard to singer Kizz Daniel, in February 2024.
