Socialite E-Money has congratulated comedian and streamer Carter Efe on defeating controversial singer Portable, promising to honour his pledge of N50 million.

Carter defeated Portable early Saturday in a bout where all three judges scored it 27–30 in his favour.

Portable’s loss at the Chaos in the Ring 4 held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought an end to his run as celebrity boxing champion.

E-Money, born Emeka Okonkwo, reaffirmed his commitment after Balmoral Group Promotions CEO, Ezekiel Adamu, asked him about the pledge at the end of the fight.

“You know we put our money where our mouth is, and so congratulations Carter on your win. N50 million for you,” he said.

Adamu, on his part, said the event met expectations.

“We promised Chaos in the Ring and we have delivered very entertaining fights tonight. There is more coming, thanks to everyone that made this a success and to the fighters for the great display,” he said.

Before this defeat, Portable had built a reputation in celebrity boxing, recording wins against fellow entertainers including Speed Darlington. His victories had helped him hold on to the informal celebrity boxing champion status going into Saturday’s bout.

The Chaos in the Ring series, organised by Balmoral Group, has grown into a platform where entertainers settle rivalries and engage fans through boxing matches, drawing attention from both the entertainment and sports communities in Nigeria.
