Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor has spoken about her decision to consistently take on villain roles in films.
In a video shared online on Friday, Patience said her choice is driven by her interest in exposing issues within society that are often ignored.
She explained that her roles are meant to reflect real life situations and bring attention to social problems.
“I felt bold to exp0se the ills of society. These things happen and nobody wants to exp0se them, so I’m exp0sing them. So I’m extremely proud of myself and mama G lovers,” she stated.
Patience, who is widely known as Mama G, has built a career playing strict mothers and antagonistic characters in Nollywood films. Her performances have made her one of the most recognisable faces in the industry.
Over the years, she has maintained that her on screen roles do not reflect her personal life, adding that acting gives her the platform to portray different parts of society.
She remains one of Nollywood’s long standing figures with a career spanning several decades and hundreds of film appearances.
