Actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has featured in a new Nike collaboration alongside football legend Jay-Jay Okocha and Super Eagles Super Eagles players Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare, in a project designed by British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn.

Nike unveiled the campaign as part of a collection inspired by Slawn, focusing on Nigerian culture, football identity and street creativity. The project brings together art, fashion and sport in a lifestyle range linked to national pride.

In a post on her Instagram page on Tuesday, she wrote, “This shoot was everything and more, what a team! Nike Sportswear’s X2: Nike ’26 Collab Kits are now available for early access at Olaolu Slawn ahead of their release on SNKRS and select retailers this summer. Quiet, intentional moves. Huge thanks to my amazing team.”

The collection is part of Nike’s Homecoming and X2 26 Collab Kits series, which reimagines the Super Eagles identity. It includes hoodies, t shirts, tracksuits and customised kit pieces featuring Slawn’s graffiti style, zebra patterns, feather motifs and green accents linked to Nigerian football culture. The items are set to be released on the Nike SNKRS app in the summer.

Slawn also expanded the project beyond fashion by painting a football pitch in Lagos using his signature style as a tribute to the Super Eagles. He has previously worked on Nike cultural projects and has been involved in events featuring former Nigerian players such as Jay Jay Okocha and Obafemi Martins.

His earlier work includes a collaboration with the English Football Association and master silversmiths Thomas Lyte on a custom designed FA Cup trophy, with his artwork also displayed at Wembley Stadium during the 2024 FA Cup final.

In the campaign, Patience Ozokwor represents Nollywood, while Chukwueze and Arokodare reflect the current generation of Nigerian footballers in Europe. Arokodare’s debut season with Wolves in 2025 to 2026 ended in relegation, but his inclusion highlights resilience and national pride.

The campaign was unveiled during the Homecoming Cup in Lagos, a three-day event celebrating music, fashion, art and football culture.

The collaboration continues Nike’s focus on linking global sportswear design with African creativity, using football and culture to highlight Nigerian identity and contemporary street style.
