Actors Toyin Abraham, Timini Egbuson, Yemi Solade, Swanky Jerry and Bolaji Ogunmola were among celebrities who attended the premiere of Ajosepo: The Gathering in Lagos on Sunday.
The event, held ahead of the film’s cinema release, was themed around a traditional wedding and owambe party.
Toyin appeared in a pink gele with a matching blouse and skirt accented with green, while Timini wore a Yoruba agbada with a red fila, beads and a horsetail.
Timini arrived alongside actress Efe Irele and stylist Swanky Jerry, who wore a gold outfit paired with heels and a purse.
Yemi Solade appeared in a purple outfit and also wore an Arsenal muffler in celebration of the club’s recent victory.
Other guests at the premiere included Odunlade Adekola, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Mercy Aigbe and Mike Afolarin.
Ajosepo: The Gathering is the sequel to the 2024 family comedy drama Ajosepo, directed by Kayode Kasum and written by Dare Olaitan and Stephen Okonkwo.
The first film followed a young couple, Dapo and Tani, whose wedding plans became complicated by family secrets and tensions. It starred Mike Afolarin, Tomike Adeoye, Timini Egbuson, Ronke Oshodi Oke and Yemi Solade.
The movie performed strongly at the Nigerian box office after its release in April 2024. It made over N50 million within its first five days in cinemas and later grossed more than N250 million during its run.
Ajosepo: The Gathering opens in cinemas nationwide on May 28.
