Singer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has reacted to comparison with her senior colleagues, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Asa, Simi, Waje, Omawumi and Niniola.
Following her double win at the BET Awards on Sunday, critics took to Twitter to declare Tems as the new queen of Afro beats. Others opined that the singer is now a bigger artiste than Tiwa and Yemi as she has become the first Nigerian female to win the Best International Act award at BET.
Reacting to the comparisons in a Twitter post on Tuesday, Tems appreciated her senior colleagues for paving the way for new artistes like her.
