Singer Adekunle Gold has addressed rumours surrounding his family, clarifying reports that he and his wife, Simi did not welcome twins.
Speaking during an interview, the 39-year-old also spoke about his marriage to Simi and their daughter Deja’s growing interest in music.
“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter, and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for music as well,” he said.
Adekunle Gold also dismissed online rumours claiming he and his wife recently welcomed twins, saying the reports were false.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins. It’s just internet rumours. We have a son,” he added.
Late last year, a pregnancy reveal in Adekunle Gold’s music video drew attention online, with Simi appearing heavily pregnant and confirming they were expecting their second child.
Weeks later, rumours circulated on social media claiming that the couple had welcomed twins.
The singer’s statement has now addressed the rumours, while fans continue to react to the couple’s musical family.
Simi and Adekunle Gold welcomed their second child in March. Simi announced the birth on Instagram on April 1, revealing that the baby was born on March 10.
The couple got married in a private ceremony in January 2019 after dating for several years. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Adejare, popularly called Deja, in May 2020.
