Afrobeats stars Asake, Tems, Burna Boy and Wizkid have secured nominations for the 2026 BET Awards.
The nominations were announced on Tuesday ahead of the ceremony scheduled for June 28 in Los Angeles.
Wizkid and Asake earned a joint nomination in the best group category following their recent collaborations and hit releases.
Tems received three nominations. She was nominated for best female R&B/Pop Artist, BET Her Award for “First” and Viewers’ Choice Award for “Raindance,” her collaboration with British rapper Dave.
Burna Boy also picked up a nomination in the Best Collaboration category for “WGFT,” his feature on a song by American rapper Gunna.
In the acting categories, Ayo Edebiri and Cynthia Erivo were nominated for Best Actress, while Damson Idris earned a nomination for Best Actor.
American rapper Cardi B leads the 2026 nominations with six nods, while Kendrick Lamar and Mariah the Scientist follow with five nominations each.
Doechii, Doja Cat, Latto and rap duo Clipse also received multiple nominations.
Other nominees include SZA, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Kehlani and South African singer Tyla.
