These Nigerian celebrities gave marriage another chance

Finding someone to spend the rest of your life with can be really hard, especially for celebrities.

Fame, money, media, and influences from family, friends and fans have contributed to many failed celebrity marriages.

Some Nigerian celebrities with failed marriages did not give up on finding their happily ever after.

Here are five of them.

  1. Stephanie Okereke-Linus

Stephanie Okereke and Linus Idahosa

The 34-year-old actress was married to former Super Eagles player, Chikelue Iloenyosi, from 2004 to 2007. As at the time the pair got married, Chikelue was said to be legally married to another woman in the US.

Fortunately, Stephanie found love again and got married to Linus Idahosa in Paris, France in April 2012. Their first son, Maxwell Enosata Linus, was born in October 2015.

Clarion Chukwurah and Anthony Boyd

Renowned Nollywood actress and humanitarian, Clarion Chukwura, once had a relationship with afro-juju legend, Sir Shina Peters, and bore a son, Clarence.

She ended her first marriage to Tunde Abiola in 2003 and married Femi Oduneye popularly known as Femi Egyptian in 2004.They however, separated in 2006, after which they got back together about six years ago before they finally got divorced.

The 52-year-old actress tried her luck at marriage for the third time in April, 2016 when she tied the knots with Anthony Boyd on Savannah’s Street, Georgia, United States.

Stella Damasus and Daniel Ademinokan

After her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin, passed away in 2004, the 38-year-old married Emeka Nzeribe, but the marriage lasted for only seven months.

She is now married to movie producer and director, Daniel Ademinokan, who was once married to actress, Doris Simeon.

Funke’s first marriage was to Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede in May 26, 2012. However, 14 months later, on Monday July 15 2013, Kehinde told his Facebook friends the marriage was over and the actress confirmed the split on Friday July 19, 2013 through a message from her publicist.

The Jenifa Diaries star secretly married Nigerian rapper, Abdul Rasheed Bello, better known as JJC, in London on the eve of her birthday on August 24.

Yoruba actor, Femi was once married to Khadijat, who bore him three children before they divorced.

On Sunday, October 9, the 43-year-old married Maimunat Omotayo Sanusi in the presence of family, friends and colleagues.

The 42-year-old Port Harcourt-born actress divorced her ex-husband and father of her daughter, Dejo Richards, in 2009.

She married her new husband, Victor Tonye Coker, in a Gatsby-themed wedding in Santorini, Greece on September 1, 2016.
