Actresses Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Joke Silva, Rahama Sadau and Eniola Badmus have been named as members of the entertainment committee for the 2026 National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally.
The organisers said the committee is led by the First Lady of Lagos State, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.
The initiative, tagged “The Power of 10 Million”, is linked to the office of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs. According to the organisers, the entertainment committee will support cultural and creative engagement at the rally scheduled for May 5 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
“As we count down to The Power of 10 Million: One Voice! One Movement!! One Choice!!, we proudly present the Entertainment Committee, the committee charged with bringing energy, culture, creativity and unforgettable moments to this historic national gathering,” the Instagram post reads.
“Responsible for planning and coordinating engaging and memorable entertainment experiences, this distinguished committee will help set the stage for 10 Million Women to gather on May 5th, 2026 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, for the mother of all empowerment rallies.
“This is more than entertainment, this is the spirit of the movement in motion. Celebrating women. Showcasing culture. Inspiring a nation through creativity and unity.”
The committee is chaired by Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with co-chairpersons including Hannatu Musa Musawa, Rachael Umahi, Rahama Sadau, Eniola Badmus and Ramatu Tijani.
The organisers said the committee will handle planning and coordination of all entertainment activities to ensure the programme is engaging and memorable.
They added that the rally is designed to mobilise women across Nigeria through empowerment initiatives and cultural expression, with a focus on participation and unity.
Other members of the committee include Rukkaiya Mohammed, Joke Silva, Aisha Humairah, Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, Rashida Maisaa, Halima Oyelade, Funke Adesiyan and Fausat Balogun.
The National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally is part of ongoing national conversations around women empowerment, creative industry participation, and increased inclusion in public programmes.
