Grammy-nominated singer Ayra Starr has revealed that her mum said should start wearing longer skirts.

The 21-year-old said this in a post on X on Wednesday, February 7.

“My mom said I should start wearing longer skirts,” she wrote.

The post came with a video of Ayra Starr dancing to her latest single ‘Comma’ in longer skirts.

Ayra also posted pictures of herself on Instagram and X wearing longer skirts.

The singer whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe is well known for wearing mini skirts and crop tops.

Ayra and her brother Dami began writing songs from a very young age under the tutelage of their mother and aunt. She had wanted to make a real career out of singing since age 10 but her father encouraged her to complete her education first.

The singer once revealed that she sold vegetables with her grandma for six years before stardom.

“6 years ago this used to be me selling vegetables and fruits with my grandma singing to whomever wanted to hear me. Now people are paying to watch me perform. Will forever be grateful for where I am in my life, God really blessed me,” she wrote on Instagram.
