Ayra Starr knocks Headies over failure to announce Best Female Artiste Award

Singer Ayra Starr has expressed her grievance over the failure of the Headies’ organisers to announce the award for Best Female Artiste which she won on Sunday night.

The 21-year-old took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, stating that she alongside all other female artistes who were nominated did not deserve the “nonchalance”.

“I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage! Best female artist na beans? We work hard, every single one of us! I’ve seen Tiwa record 4 hit songs in the same night, Tems breaths and lives for music, we didn’t deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria, you didn’t raise me to settle for less,” the ‘Rush’ singer wrote.
