Ivy Ifeoma, wife of singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has reacted to conversations around relationships, money and financial independence.
In a video shared on her TikTok page, Ivy advised single women not to make marrying a wealthy man their main life goal.
She said that while marrying into wealth can create opportunities, women should focus on building their own financial stability.
Ivy also responded to speculation about her marriage to Ivy Ifeoma and the age gap between her and her husband, Paul Okoye, saying she was already financially independent before meeting him.
Ivy said, “This is my take on the idea of marrying a rich man and before you come for me, know that I was a millionaire before I met this man [Paul Okoye].
“Marrying a rich man should not be anybody’s primary goal. Why would you even want to have a primary goal of marrying someone because they are rich? At the end of the day, it is their money, not your money.
“Don’t get me wrong, marrying rich is a very good add-on because it can open doors of opportunities for you. But what I will tell you to do as a woman is to get rich.”
She added that wealthy men tend to be drawn to ambitious and hardworking women, urging single ladies to invest in themselves.
Ivy Ifeoma married Paul Okoye in 2024 after their relationship became public and drew attention, partly due to their age difference.
Paul Okoye, one half of the music duo Psquare, was previously married to Anita Isama, with the union producing children before it eventually ended in separation and divorce.
