Reality TV star and actor Teddy A has said he wants a submissive wife despite supporting women who are financially successful.
Teddy A made the statement during a round table conversation on Echo Room, where he said he enjoys supporting women and has no issue being with a successful or “high-value” woman.
He, however, said he does not support the idea of a “stay-at-home wife” because he believes couples should work together and enjoy the rewards later in life.
Teddy A, who is married to fellow reality TV star Bambam, maintained that while he appreciates having a “high value” wife, he still values submission in marriage.
“The way I see a woman, I love to support a woman. I have no problem having a high-value woman; I do not want a stay-at-home wife. I hate that s**t, we both have got to get it so when we get older, we can enjoy what we have worked on together. But the point where you miss it is when you are not submissive,” he said.
His statement comes amid months of rumours about a crisis in his marriage to Bambam.
Speculation grew after fans noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to reactions on social media.
The rumours gained more attention in February when both celebrities shared separate Valentine’s Day photos on their Instagram pages.
Teddy A and Bambam became popular after appearing on the 2018 edition of the reality show Big Brother Naija. The couple got married in 2019 with their white wedding held in Dubai.
They welcomed their first child in 2020 and announced the birth of their second child in 2022. Bambam has since built a career in acting, featuring in films and television productions including Love in Every Word and Inspector K.
