Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has shared how his friendship with actress Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, later led to marriage.
The 42-year-old shared this after a fan reposted an old video of Bimpe dismissing rumours that she and Lateef would ever get married.
“Myself and Lateef can never marry. I see him like my brother”.
Responding to the old clip, the fan asked how the actor later succeeded in marrying her.
“Brother mi @thedimejilateef, how you take run am wey you later marry her? I need past questions abeg”.
Lateef replied that there was no special formula and advised people to marry their friend.
“There are no past questions, like, they say, marry your friend”.
Earlier this year, Lateef spoke about how he met Bimpe, saying she was one of his customers before their relationship developed. He described her as calm and reserved, adding that she mostly kept to herself while growing up.
The actor also previously revealed that he and Bimpe had both decided they would never marry colleagues in the movie industry until they met each other. According to him, they also faced challenges in their relationship because of their different religions.
Lateef and Mo Bimpe got married in December 2021. Their traditional wedding was held on December 18, while their Islamic wedding took place on December 22 in Lagos.
Earlier this month, the couple announced the birth of their triplet boys. Sharing the news on social media, Lateef described the babies as “three kings.”
