Actress Toyin Abraham has recountd how she was beaten on the set of a movie before she became famous.

The mother of one revealed this in an Interview with BBC Pidegn published on Thursday.

When asked if her journey to fame has been smooth, Toyin said: “I never see roead wey smooh, I don travel, I don go London, I don go Canada, I don go America, I dey look for road wey smooth, e no dey. You go see one something, so anything no smooth, challenge go come. But all those big ones, dem don beat me for location well well, because I don become star? Different things don happen pass but those ones na past, so challenge must dey.”

Toyin rose to fame with her self produced movie Alakada which she said is her favourite film till date.

She has also featured in other movies like Ijakumo, Elevator Baby, Shanty Town, Nimbe, The Ghost and the Tout, Prophetss, King of Thieves, The Therapist, Okafor’s Law, Wives on Strike and Wildflower.

Toyin and fellow actor Kolawole Ajeyemi got married on July 4, 2019.

They welcomed their son Ire in August 2019.

Kolawole has a daughter Temitope from a previous relationship with another woman.
