Kolawole Ajeyemi, husband of actress Toyin Abraham, has distanced himself from his wife’s endorsement of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu.

The father-of-two made his stand known in an Instagram post on Monday, March 27 following abuses, threats, and curses directed at his family over his wife’s public endorsement of Tinubu.

He stated that he did not campaign for any candidate and that the fact that his wife supports Tinubu does not mean that he is in support of her choice.

“Good day everybody, it’s not like I asked anyone of you to vote for any candidate or campaigned for any party and the fact that my wife is supporting a specific party doesn’t mean that I’m supporting her,” he wrote.

He also rebuked those cursing his children, adding that he wished the same on them.

“So, those of you laying curses on my children I rebuke it all and I wish you all the same. And I repeat I did not campaign for any candidate,” he concluded.

Toyin Abraham affirmed her support for Tinubu in several posts and interviews before the presidential election held on Saturday, February 25.

She shared a picture with him on Wednesday, February 22, saying it was the first time she met the former Lagos State governor.

“For the first time, I met the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and he shared some of his Ideas, Visions and Strategy to solve the challenges before us, as a Nation.

“Listening to him indeed renewed my hope and reaffirmed why he is my choice,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Toyin posted a picture of herself with her voter card on election day with the hashtag #votenotfight among others.
