EFCC releases Atiku’s campaign deputy chair, Turaki

Kabiru Turaki

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Turaki.

Channels Television confirmed his release on Tuesday through a source in the commission.

Turaki is a former presidential nominee and the Deputy Director General (Administration) of the PDP Campaign Organisation.

He was arrested on Monday after Babalele Abdullahi, Atiku’s son-in-law, was released.

The PDP had, in a statement on Monday, called for Turaki’s release, saying that he was arrested and detained after being invited by the EFCC to endorse a bail document for Mr Abdullahi.
