Coronavirus: Lagos discharges 32nd patient

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says the state has discharged a female who has recovered from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Mr Sanwo-Olu tweeted on Tuesday saying the latest release brings the number of discharged patients to 32.

He said: “Dear Lagosians, I announce with immense joy, the discharge of another patient (a female) who has fully recovered from our facility at Yaba. This brings to 32, the number of patients we have successfully managed and discharged in Lagos. #COVID19.

“I look forward to sharing more great news in the coming days. This is indicative of the successes we are recording in our offensive against #COVID19.”

The governor assured that the state has the “upper hand” and would be victorious against the deadly virus.

The state has witnessed increased rate of patients successfully treated of COVID-19.

On April 4, one patient was discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.

Five were discharged on Sunday while two were released on Monday.
