Ben Murray-Bruce gives daughter’s hand in marriage months after burying mum

Ben Murray-Bruce daughter's wedding

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ben Murray-Bruce announced on Sunday that his daughter has gotten married.

The former federal lawmaker, who represented Bayelsa East for one term, on Sunday shared photos of the wedding on social media.

Murray-Bruce thanked guests who graced the occasion. A former presidential aide Reno Omokri was at the wedding.

Murray-Bruce said, “My daughter’s wedding was a success. On behalf of my family, my gratitude goes to all the guests who came from far and near to honour my daughter and her dear husband. I hope you all love the pictures.”

The wedding comes months after Murray-Bruce’s mother Margaret died at the age of 95. She died on February 1 and was buried days later.

The businessman had earlier lost his wife Evelyn Murray-Bruce to cancer on March 20, 2020.

“She was faithful, loyal and true. My best friend of 43 years and my wife for 41 years. She was one of life’s greatest inspiration to me,” said Murray-Bruce.
