Founder of Silverbird Group Ben Murray-Bruce has announced the appointment of Roy Murray-Bruce as chairman of the company, succeeding him after decades in leadership.
He made the announcement on Thursday in a post on his X account.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Roy Murray-Bruce as the new Chairman of Silverbird Group,” he said.
Mr Murray-Bruce said the decision followed his years of leading and building the group across media, entertainment, hospitality, real estate and business development in Africa and the United Kingdom.
He said Mr Roy brings more than four decades of experience in leadership and governance.
“Roy brings with him over four decades of leadership experience, vision, and governance expertise. As former President of Silverbird Group, he played a significant role in the expansion of our organisation across television, radio, cinemas, retail, and property development, while helping pioneer Cineplex culture in Nigeria and West Africa,” he said.
According to him, Roy previously served as president of Silverbird Group and was involved in the company’s expansion across television, radio, cinemas, retail and property development.
He also played a role in the development of cinema operations in Nigeria and West Africa.
“I am confident that under his leadership, Silverbird Group will continue its commitment to excellence, innovation, growth, and industry leadership across Africa. I look forward to this new chapter for the Group.”
Silverbird Group operates in media, entertainment, hospitality and real estate, with activities in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
