Singer Zlatan Ibile has responded after fellow artiste Seyi Vibez called him out over a controversial lyrical interpretation involving Adekunle Gold.
The drama started after Seyi Vibez accused Adekunle Gold of taking a subtle jab at him in the song ‘Life of the Faaji’ featuring Zlatan, off Adekunle Gold’s Fuji Xtra project.
A line in the track referencing “Fuji” was interpreted by some fans as a shot at Seyi Vibez and his “Fuji Moto” era.
Following the reactions online, Seyi Vibez also directed his anger at Zlatan, describing him as a “backup artiste” while also mocking his ZTTW fashion brand in a series of social media posts.
Zlatan has now reacted on X, saying the issue was based on a misunderstanding and expressing disappointment that Seyi Vibez believed he would intentionally disrespect him.
He wrote: “It actually hurts that my brother thinks I would diss him in anyway. It’s literally a misunderstanding. @seyi_vibez it’s all love bro, when you’re ready to talk it out I’m here !! ❤️4L ABURO MI”
Seyi Vibez, known for projects such as Billion Dollar Baby and Thy Kingdom Come, has become one of the leading voices in street pop music. Zlatan has also remained active in the music scene through collaborations and his Zanku Records label.
