Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi on Wednesday thanked Lagos for hosting the last 2021 AFCON qualifier against Lesotho.

The Leicester City star, in an Instagram post, also praised the Eagles for qualifying for AFCON 2022 in style.

“Qualifying in style. Thank you Lagos, it’s a pleasure,” Ndidi wrote.

Leicester City also on Wednesday tweeted a picture of teammates Kelechi Iheanacho and Ndidi lining up for Nigeria against Lesotho.

Ndidi, 24, played all 90 minutes in Nigeria’s game against Lesotho on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

However, Iheanacho, also 24, who has been in form for the Foxes was taken out in the 86th minute for captain Ahmed Musa.

Goals from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu gave the Eagles a well deserved 3-0 win against the Crocodiles.
