Teni under fire for calling US man ‘olosi’

Teni

Users of Twitter have criticised afro-pop singer, Teni, for using a Yoruba derogatory term on a man on the streets of California, USA.

In a skit posted on Instagram, the 25-year-old musician, who left the UK for the US last week, is seen asking the man for direction on how to locate P. Diddy, Chris Brown and Kanye West.

The hapless man could not help her and she jokingly said aye e ti baje (your life has spoilt) and called him olosi, a Yoruba term for a fool, while hugging him in the latter part of the video.

While many of her followers on Instagram found the video funny, man on Twitter criticised her for what they think is a poor choice for comedy.
