Nigerian singer, Tems, has won the Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance for her feature in Future’s ‘Wait for U.’
The 2022 track, which also features Drake, bested songs from other artists including Jack Harlow’s ‘First Class’, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Die Hard’, Latto’s ‘Big Energy (Live)’ and DJ Khaled’s ‘Beautiful’.
Fellow Nigerian, Burna, Boy, however, lost in the Best Global Music Album and the Best Global Music Performance’ categories.
Hosted by Trevor Noah, the 2023 Grammy was held at Cyrpto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
