Group managing director of SO&U Udeme Ufot has lost his mother Jenny Ufot, who died on March 30 at the age of 96.
The family announced her death in a statement on Thursday, stating that she died after a brief illness.
According to the statement, her burial will take place on August 8 at the family compound in Afaha Akpan Ekpo, Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The statement, signed by Onofiok Ufot on behalf of the family, read, “The Family of late Elder O. A. Ufot, mni, announces the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Deaconess Jenny Onofiok Ufot (nee Hanson Inyang) on March 30, 2026, after a brief illness. She was 96 years old. Her burial will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026.”
It added that further details would be communicated later.
Udeme Ufot served as chairman of the inaugural QEDNG Creative Powerhouse Summit in 2025.
He is married to Dorothy Ufot and they have two children.
