Adeleke’s private guard in court over possession of dangerous weapons

Olawale Fadipe, a private security guard to Senator Ademola Adeleke, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court for alleged possession of dangerous weapons.

He has pleaded not guilty to two-count charges of possession of dangerous weapons and theft.

Police prosecutor, Joshua Oladoye, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on February 14, 2019 around 12.20am at the Lameco Filling Station, Osogbo.

Oladoye added that Fadipe was caught by the police with dangerous weapons, including a jack knife and an electric shock gun.

Defence counsel, Sikiru Nurudeen, moved an application for bail and promised to ensure that his client attends his trial.

The magistrate, Ola Olagoke, granted him bail in the sum of N20,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The said contravened sections 430 (1) and 509 of the Criminal Code cap 34 vol.  11, Laws of Osun State, 2003.

The case was adjourned till February 20 for mention.
