Reality TV stars and actors Pere and Whitemoney have shared their last private chats with actor Alexx Ekubo following news of his death, which began circulating online on Tuesday.
In messages dated 2025, both Pere and Whitemoney showed screenshots of conversations where they checked on the actor’s wellbeing. In the chats, Alexx responded that he was fine while also asking about their wellbeing.
Pere wrote alongside his post,
“Jesus!!!!!! Jesus… this one hurts.
“I had the nudge to reach out to you months ago, just to check on you and pray for you. You didn’t say much… but now that moment means even more to me.
“Life is short. Please check on people while you still can.
“Rest well, my brother Alex. May God guide you home. 🕊️💔”
Whitemoney also shared his reaction, writing,
“Ahh 😱 high chief ikuku 🥲 RIP BROTHER ..this one pain me ooo ahh 😱”
According to reports, Alexx died after a battle with liver cancer.
Since the news broke, several celebrities including Rita Dominic, Peter Okoye, Ali Nuhu and others have taken to social media to mourn the actor and share tributes.
