Pastor who relocated late Deborah Samuel’s family denies tweets on Ekiti poll

OPM founder Gift Chibuzor

General overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) in Port Harcourt Rivers State, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has dissociated himself from a Twitter account @PstChibuzorGift.

The handle, which has over 13,500 followers, got his attention when tweets about the recent governorship election in Ekiti were made.

The church in a statement on Wednesday by its spokesman Frank Laga said the handle does not belong to its overseer.

The statement said, “The Leadership of Omega Power Ministries, whose General Overseer is Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere is calling on Twitter to delete a fake Twitter account impersonating him.

“The fraudsters whose fake Twitter handle is @PstchibuzorGift has over 13.5k followers before the attention of the church was drawn to it.

“Apostle Chinyere regrets that many people around the world might have been scammed using the fake account.

“Apostle Chinyere is a man of God who has been known worldwide for his humanitarian works and who with OPM offers services free of charge to humanity.”

The church noted that its leader does not get involved in politics.

“The church therefore uses this medium to inform the world that Apostle Chinyere’s verified Twitter handle is @daddyopm,” it added.

Chinyere relocated the family of the late Deborah Samuel, who was lynched on May 12 in Shehu Shagari College of Education for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad, to Port Harcourt.
