Social media influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa has announced a N3m essay competition for students in public secondary schools across Ekiti State.
He disclosed this in a post on his X page on Monday, introducing the initiative as the Professor Femi Adeoluwa Essay Prize.
The topic for the competition is “education beyond the classroom: what should young people be taught that schools currently ignore”. The programme is being organised in partnership with Eni’s Book Club, a reading and literacy community.
According to him, the first position will receive N1,500,000, the second position N1,000,000, while the third position will get N500,000.
“I am incredibly proud to announce the 1st edition of the Professor Femi Adeoluwa Essay Prize. @enisbookclub is taking this initiative directly to public secondary schools in @ekitistategov,” the post reads.
The post added that the initiative is a tribute to Victor Adeoluwa, his father, and is open to students in public secondary schools across the state.
Details on the commencement date and application process were not included in the announcement.
In 2025, Enioluwa had spoken about his father’s contributions to education development, including his role in the transformation of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti into the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology.
