General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries Chibuzor Chinyere has shared an update on his adopted son Elijah Chibuzor, better known as Aboy, saying he can now wear his clothes without assistance.
The cleric disclosed this in a Facebook post on Monday while sharing a video of Aboy buttoning his shirt by himself.
According to Apostle Chinyere, Aboy could not previously wear his clothes on his own despite having two caregivers.
“Just received this video. Elijah can now wear clothes by himself. Something two different caregivers I pay salary could not achieve,” he wrote.
He added that Aboy can now bathe and feed himself without assistance.
Chinyere also promised Aboy’s wife N5 million if her husband speaks for the first time.
“I have promised Elijah wife, if God can use her and make my son Elijah speak for the first time, I will gift her 5 million naira cash,” he said.
“One day Elijah will hold microphone and speak to the whole world for the first time.”
Aboy got married on March 29 at the OPM church in Port Harcourt.
After the wedding, Chinyere announced that the couple would receive N10 million, a house and an overseas vacation.
The cleric also said the couple recently visited an immigration office to process international passports ahead of a planned trip to Canada.
Chinyere had earlier said Aboy was abandoned at the church gate as a child and has been under his care for years.
In April, the Rivers State Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation invited the cleric over plans involving marriages for some of his adopted children living with disabilities.
The ministry said the meeting was held to discuss compliance with laws relating to child protection and the rights of persons with disabilities.
Chibuzor Chinyere later said he understood the concerns raised and would comply with the law.
