Five Star Music artiste, Kcee, on Thursday announced his desire to contest the November 18 Anambra governorship election.

The 38-year-old declared his intention in poster uploaded to Instagram with a slogan: “Peace and enjoyment for all”.

Kcee, who did not say anything about a political party, promised to make further announcement on his aspiration next Tuesday.

“It’s about time, Big Announcement on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 11 am,” he wrote.

The musician is not the first entertainer to express interest in the forthcoming election.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, recently announced that he will be contesting with the slogan “The last bus stop”.

Edochie proposes to save the youth from their suffering and fix the problems of the state.

Kcee’s pronouncement calls to mind a similar move by his former mentor, Julius Agwu, who made a joke of contesting to 2015 Rivers State governorship election.

Born and raised in Ajegunle, Lagos, Kingsley Okonkwo is from Uli in Anambra State.
