Yul debunks allegations of domestic violence against father, Pete Edochie

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has denied the allegations that his father, Pete Edochie, was physically abusive to his mother, Josephine Edochie.

The 38-year-old denied the allegation on Thursday while responding to an Instagram user who claimed that Pete himself, had admitted to hitting his wife in an article they had read.

The user made the comment on Yul’s post about his father punishing him for rejecting education when he was younger.

He wrote, “Who wrote such an article? Send it to me, pls. It is false. My father has never raised a finger on my mother for 51 yrs. He taught us never to beat a woman. Pls send the article. I need to know who wrote it.”

In February, Pete Edochie branded men who kneel to pop the question to their partners, ‘fools.’

While defending his position on the matter, he implied that he had never laid a hand on Josephine in their five decades of marriage.

He said, “I have lived with my wife for 51 years, nobody has come to say, please stop beating this woman. Is it hatred that united us?.”
