Actor Stan Nze has expressed disappointment after phones were reportedly stolen during the service of songs held for actor Alexx Ekubo.
On his Instagram page on Thursday, he said more than five phones went missing at the event, noting that the number may be higher than what was immediately reported.
He said, “So we had service of songs of late Actor Alex Ekubo last night and to my greatest surprise over 5 phones were stolen, l said 5 because l didn’t want to exaggerate it. I am so sure it’s above 5 phones, and l am very sure it wasn’t just one person that stole all the phones. The question now is how do people come to where people are mourning and grieving and you come to add more sorrows to to their sorrow?.
“Where’s our conscience as Human Being and as Nigerians ? And we keep saying the government is bad what about we the citizens?? I keep saying it if all our government is taking away from their seats today who among us is not a thief? We all need to rethink and give our lives to Christ, this is so sad and very unfortunate”, he said.
In addition to Stan’s account, some attendees also reportedly said their phones went missing at the event. Among those affected were actress Bambam and actress Susan Peters, who were said to have lost their devices during the gathering, according to accounts circulating among attendees.
The service of songs was held on June 10, in Lagos and had family members, friends and colleagues in attendance to honour the actor.
