Osinbajo celebrates Funke Akindele on milestones

Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has celebrated filmmaker Funke Akindele on the milestones she has hit in her career.

Among her accolades, Funke is the first filmmaker to have a movie hit N1 billion at the box office with her latest film A Tribe of Judah.

Osinbajo shared a video on Instagram on Thursday, stating that Funke is a true light of Nigerian greatness.

“Funkkkkkkkkeeee @funkejenifaakindele a true light of Nigerian greatness. Her talent, resilience, and grace exemplify the very essence of the Nigerian brand,” he wrote.

Directed by Adeoluwa Owu and Funke, A Tribe Called Judah tells the story of a family of boys, who decide to rob a mall to raise money for their mother’s hospital bill. However, on getting there, they are faced with armed robbers.

The film features Funke Akindele, Juliana Olayode, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Jidekene Achufusi, Nosa Rex, Uzee Uzman, Timini Egbuson, Tobi Makinde, Faithia Williams, Uzor Arukwe, Yvonne Jegede, Ebele Okaro and others.
