The ‘Lights Out’ rapper was performing on stage with Victoria Kimani when her partner came up and popped the question. The smitten rapper said “yes” and the couple shared a passionate kiss on stage.

He also took a jab at the OAP by saying, “Its 2015, for someone who wears expensive watches, you don’t know what the time is”.

  1. Majek Fashek joins Timi Dakolo and Kunle Ayo on stage

  1. Bovi goes shirtless

Out of the several antics of Bovi during his hosting gig at the event, one stood out. The comedian came out shirtless with only a towel wrapped around his waist. He played the role of D’banj and named himself B’banj. The audience agreed that he did not pull off the D’banj abs.

  1. Bovi tries to pull a Steve Harvey on Reekado Banks

When Bovi announced the winner of Next Rated, he called Reekado Blanks instead of Reekado Banks. An anxious Reekado was scared the award might not be his after all.

  1. Olamide takes a jab at Mavin and Headies

The Headies Awards might have brewed one of the biggest beef in the music industry. After Lil Kesh lost the Next Rated Award to Reekado Banks, YBNL boss, Olamide had something to say about it. As Adekunle Gold accepted the award for Best Alternative Song and passed the microphone to Olamide, the rapper took a jab at Mavin and Headies.

“Adekunle, wait, we know this belong to Kesh because he is the Next Rated act , street has taken over, back to back, every single was a hit, from ‘Lyrically’,  ‘Shoki’ to ‘Efejoku’. Fuck that s**t,” he voiced. He slammed the microphone on the floor as he left the stage.

Mavin Boss, Don Jazzy, obviously felt offended by Olamide’s antics. As he accepted the Social Recognition Award, the producer clarified that he has never been a fan of awards show and he is only at the Headies to support his ‘children’. Don Jazzy tackled Olamide directly. “Oga Olamide, if you want the car, come and collect it,” he said.
