Mr Macaroni alleges threat to life over Lekki toll gate saga

Mr Macaroni

Comedian Mr Macaroni says he is being threatened for protesting against the reopening of the Lekki toll gate.

The 28-year-old said this on Twitter on Wednesday.

Mr Macaroni shared a screenshot of a man identified as Prince Lawal threatening to kill him if he continues with the protest.

The rights activist claims he had received several others threats.

“This is one of many threats I receive regularly. Nigerian Police and Lagos state Government… I love you, and I know you love me too,” he wrote.

Earlier, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) announced that tolling activities will resume at the gate by April.

The Lekki toll gate was shut down in October 2020 following an attack on unarmed EndSARS protesters.
