Actress Mercy Aigbe has celebrated her colleague and friend Kemi Afolabi on her birthday with prayers.
Mercy shared photos of Kemi on Instagram on Tuesday, describing her as “My Personal Person” and “a strong woman.”

The message reflects the bond between both actresses, who have worked together in the Yoruba film industry and often support each other publicly.
Kemi has in recent years spoken about her health struggles, including living with lupus.
In March 2022, she revealed she was diagnosed in 2021 after months of illness and initial misdiagnoses in Nigeria before seeking treatment abroad.
She said doctors treated her for different conditions until lupus was eventually confirmed outside the country.
At the peak of the illness, the actress said she prepared for death.
“I bought where I would be buried,” she said.
She added that she also wrote her will during that period.
Despite the diagnosis, Kemi has continued treatment and has said her condition has improved with ongoing medical care.
