Seven reasons you should drink more water

In his song ‘Water No Get Enemy’, the legendary Fela Kuti said there is nothing you can do without water. While we may not completely agree with that, we have seven reasons why you should ditch soda drinks and reach for the good old ‎H2O.

Consuming water won’t automatically make you lose weight, but choosing it as a substitution for sugary sodas or beverages is just one way to make healthier choices and prevent additional weight.

3. You’ll be thinking more clearly

Dehydration can lead to anxiety, confusion, and negative moods.

4. It helps in regulating your digestion

Drinking water while eating will help to break down food. It also helps in flushing waste from the colon, thus preventing constipation.

5. It helps your skin glow

One way to have a good skin is by staying hydrated. Dehydration leads to a dry skin, which can lead to wrinkles. Water will help to keep your skin moisturized and glowing.

6. Water can prevent and alleviate headaches
Headaches can sometimes be caused by dehydration. Staying hydrated is a great way to avoid any unnecessary head pain.

7. And, most importantly, it will keep you alive

Water is absolutely essential to the human body’s survival. A person can live for about a month without food, but only about a week without water.
